[email protected] Lancashire, Apple and Sage Turnovers Ingredients Serves: 4 300 Gram Puff pastry (11 oz) 100 Gram Lancashire cheese, crumbled (3 1/2 oz) 100 Gram Green dessert apples, chopped (3 1/2 oz) 1 Tablespoon Fresh sage, chopped 1 Egg, beaten Method Preheat the oven to 200 °C / 400 °F / Gas 6. Roll out the pastry and cut out four 18 cm (7 inch) circles. Mix together the Lancashire cheese, apple and sage. Place a quarter of the mix in the centre of each pastry circle. Brush water around the edge of each circle, fold in half and seal.Prick the pastry, brush with the beaten egg. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crisp. |
