[email protected] Brummy Bacon Cakes (8 cakes) Ingredients: 3oz streaky bacon, diced 3 oz grated hard cheese 8 oz plain flour 2 tsp baking powder pinch of salt 1/4 pint milk 2 oz butter Lightly fry the bacon bits. Rub the flour into the butter and half of the cheese, the salt and baking powder, add the bacon. Add enough milk to make a soft dough. Form into 8 1/2 thick patties, sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake in a hot oven until risen and browned, about 15 minutes.
