Place muscovado sugar into a measuring jug and add the cocoa powder. Pour on boiling water till level reaches approximately the half-pint mark (can make it wetter if required but these measurements make the sauce nice and thick). Stir thoroughly to ensure solids are completely broken up. Pour sauce over sponge mixture but DO NOT STIR! Place dish into oven and leave for approximately 20-25 mins, or until top is crispy. Must be served immediately but beware as sauce is literally boiling! |
