Take a gallon of rum, six pounds of lump sugar dissolved in a quart of lime juice, and mix the whole well together; then put it in a cask, and when fine, bottle it off for use. Strain the juice, of which put two quarts to one gallon of rum, and two pounds of lump sugar. Strain the whole through a jelly bag. |
