  Cadbury Creme Egg, whole and split Image: Evan-Amos Chocolate egg-shaped shell filled with a sweet fondant, imitating the egg white and yolk. Although widely associated with the Cadbury Company, who introduced a version in 1923 which now sells some 200 million per year, other choclatiers such as Beech's produce fondant eggs.
