Cadbury Creme Egg, whole and split

Chocolate egg-shaped shell filled with a sweet fondant, imitating the egg white and yolk. Although widely associated with the Cadbury Company, who introduced a version in 1923 which now sells some 200 million per year, other choclatiers such as Beech's produce fondant eggs.

Cadbury's assure us that their egg has not got smaller over the years - it is just that we've got bigger.
