Galley Dumplings

Puddings and Sweet Deserts

Long, thin, roll of steamed suet paste, slashed ¾ of the way through at intervals, curved over and hot jam or treacle poured into the gashes. Given in 'Food in England' by Dorothy Hartley (Hartley 1954).
