Very large, round, mid-season cooking apple. Tends to retain its shape when cooked.

The 'Exeter and Plymouth Gazette' - Friday 09 November 1917 - reported that; "Mr. E. B. Webber, gardener The Grange, has grown a "Lord Derby", apple 15 1/2 inches in circumference and weighing 24 1/4 ounces."
