![]() Sweet loaf-form soda-raised cake made using wheatflour and cornflour, iced. ![]() SAND CAKE (Gloucestershire) Weight of two eggs in butter, sugar and cornflour (Colman's is the best for this recipe), one teaspoonful of baking-powder. Bake in a moderate oven. Pour over a little water or lemon icing. Just warm two or three tablespoonfuls of icing or castor sugar, wetted with about a tablespoonful of lemon juice, and pour over cake. ![]() |
